To facilitate a premier cross-Pacific platform to deepen the long-standing friendship between Chinese and American botanists, share pioneering research advances, and strengthen interdisciplinary and international collaboration among plant scientists worldwide, the Botanical Society of China and the Botanical Society of America will jointly organize the “2026 Sino-American Conference on New Horizons in Plant Science.”
The conference will be held from 19–23 September 2026 in Tai’an, Shandong, China, under the theme “Future Botany in a Changing World.” We welcome internationally renowned scholars and outstanding young scientists to share scientific insights and find solutions from plant science to address the world’s major challenges, from food security to global climate change and ecological conservation, and to support the development and growth of young scholars, advance plant science for a greener and sustainable future. The conference will also draw on the profound historical and cultural heritage of Tai'an and its surrounding areas to showcase the beauty of Chinese Culture. Plant scientists from institutions worldwide, especially graduate students and other young scientists, are warmly welcome to come and participate in conference activities.
